Catching Up!

A lot has happened since our last post, so here's a quick update.

Annika enjoyed her first chocolate chip cookie.

Can we say YUMMY!!!!!!!Joe had PRK done to his eyes. No more glasses, just these lovely goggles for a few days...Yeah!!!!!!Joe's eyes were tired the first couple of days after his surgery. Annika took advantage of his resting and napped with him.Grandma and Grandpa Romero came for a visit that went way too fast. We took Grandma to Greenville for her birthday. This is the wall of the town's burger joint covered with gum. We took Grandma to the Olive Garden for her birthday dinner.Although you can't see it because the chair is blocking the view, we made Grandma a birthday cake with fresh strawberries. This museum is next to the Ohio river. We learned a lot here. A must see for anyone in Cincinnati. At the Freedom Center with Kentucky in the background. There is a beautiful garden near our house with a separate children's garden. We took Grandma and Grandpa for a visit. Annika was resting until we got to the children's garden. The hedges make a nice border. It really was the perfect day for a visit. Here's the children's garden area...and what can be said but boys will be boys...and even men will be boys; especially when they are in a children's garden.Even Grandpa showed his silly side.Annika playing in the sandbox.Enjoying the day with Grandma and Grandpa.Just too cute not to post. Daddy and his little girl.We spent the afternoon at the Wright Brother's museum. A part of it houses the history of the parachute. Here's Grandpa taking a jump.Grandpa learned how hard it is to fly an original Wright Brother's glider plane. He crashed and sustained injuries during his go on the simulator.Joe met us for a quick minute and the Wright Brother's memorial. It's plain to see who this little girl loves.I'm glad we got this picture. Annika makes this face while saying her favorite phrase, "Oooh noooo."

Daddy took Annika to the outdoor shopping area down the street for a little fun in the fountain.Every time we go the Greene shopping center Annika says "water" and wants to visit the fountain area, but she wants her Daddy for protection. Here they are getting sprayed with mist. You've all heard about the flooding in the Midwest. Well, we've had some flooding of our own. The gully in our backyard swelled pretty high. Our river front property.

The other day I came to the living room and found Annika sitting one the couch. She demonstrated how she got up in the following pictures. I can't let her out of my sight anymore.Annika and Daddy on Father's Day.
Daddy is loved so much! Happy Father's Day Joe! You are the best!!!!!Annika is amazed at Joe's skills.

And off they go!
