Quick Visit

Joe's sister Liz, her husband Ed, and her daughter Catherine came to visit us for a few days. We really enjoyed having them and our time together went way too fast. Annika especially will miss having them around. She loved doing everything Catherine did, and there were a few moments, particularly the end of our time at the zoo, where she preferred her Aunt Liz over her own mother. They've only been gone for a few hours and we are already looking forward to seeing them again next month when we visit Texas.

Liz's birthday was a couple of days before she came, so we got a cake to celebrate...Joe had been looking for an excuse to buy a big chocolate cake from Costco. Happy birthday Liz!
