One Well Rested Child

This weekend we were very busy and had lots of fun! Friday night I went to the church to help Saralee blow up the helium balloons for the ward carnival on Saturday. Joe surprised me by showing up with an ice cream and lots of encouragement. When we got home we all watched a movie together.

Saturday we spent a fun afternoon at our ward's primary carnival. All the kids had lots of fun, especially Annika!

The Primary theme this year is "My Eternal Family."
Annika had know idea what she was doing other than throwing a ball, but she lucked out and got it in the ring on her first toss...even though it helps to be one foot away.
Playing the ring toss, or in Annika's case the ring drop game.
Playing on the slide in the little kiddie area.
When we got home she took a little nap, and then awoke to the company of her best friend Abbi and her brother Eli. We watched them until later that evening and Annika was in heaven.

Sunday Annika missed her nap because we were at church. When she came home I guess the weekend was catching up with her because she asked for milk and said she wanted to lie down. I was worried if she went to bed at 4:45 it would turn into a late nap and she'd want to stay up all night, but she slept through the night until 6:00 this morning. It was nice having an evening to spend alone with Joe...And it was even nicer when Annika read books in bed this morning by herself and let me sleep in. What a sweet little child.
