This morning I told Annika if she got dressed, we could go for a walk around the lake and look at flowers. She told me she wanted to pick lots of flowers for Grandma. Then she said "Grandma has a man. His name is Grandpa."
Our walk was beautiful and afterward the kids played at the park. It's amazing how after a long dreary winter the bare trees celebrate the arrival of spring with a show of flowers before they fill out with leaves.
Pale white and pink lacy flowers on the trees next door.

A daffodil in our front yard.

Our front walkway.

Pretty ground cover in the woods.

Blossoms.

So beautiful.

Shakespeare escaped from the house, so we were sitting on the front porch waiting for him to come home when Annika picked this flower and said, "This is Grandma's flower. You can give it to her."
