Starting Friday night we had almost 24 hours of snow. While we stayed nice and warm inside it snowed and snowed outside.
Annika makes a silly face when you ask her to smile.

It was still snowing after the sun went down on Saturday night.

Freshly fallen snow does look beautiful.

Our backyard Saturday morning.

Joe measuring how much snow fall we got.

That's right. 23 inches of snow in a little under 24 hours.

The cars were buried in snow.

A view from the front door. Notice how high the snow came up the door.

Joe made a little snow cave on our porch.

Poor Joe. He had to shovel all the snow by himself. A perk of pregnancy is no snow shoveling.

Jackson kept Joe company outside while he shoveled the snow.

Annika didn't want to go to bed on Friday night. Instead, she wanted to go to our bed and play with Daddy. She loves it when Joe tickles her.

Annika loves her dog, Shakespeare.

While it snowed outside, we stayed inside. Annika helped herself to more candy canes off the tree than I care to admit.

She had a great time raiding the candy off the tree.

And all that candy made for one active and happy little girl.

On Sunday the snow plows were busy plowing all the streets and our neighborhood. For church both wards that use the building met at 1:00 for Sacrament Meeting only. The parking lot was plowed, and Joe showed up a little early to help the missionaries and Elders Quorum shovel the sidewalks. Talk about a good man! Because most of the choir was missing, we had a makeshift Christmas program that turned out really nice. Our Bishop read the Christmas story from Luke while the congregation sang songs that went along with the readings. Next week we will have the choir do their Christmas program.
After Sacrament we picked up Austin from the airport. Annika was so excited to see him again. She really looks up to him.
