The day after Christmas we went to hear a member of our ward sing at the D.C. visitor center. We were lucky that it was one of the warmest nights of the month, although it was still really cold. I had gone a couple of weeks earlier with a friend from our ward to hear the D.C. Mormon Tabernacle Choir, but Annika was too tired, and it really was to cold, to take her. So this was our family night at the D.C. Temple Festival of Lights.
I love how the Temple looks so perfectly bright amidst the black sky.

Annika loves being on the temple grounds.

Our family standing in front of the Christus, which represents the real meaning of
Christmas.

I was sure we were going to be yelled at after Annika climbed up on the camel. After she did it, a big group of other kids decided they needed a turn.

The lights were so bright and pretty on the grounds.

Such a lovely sight!
