I go in the house to put on my coat and shoes. When I go back outside a rabbit races across our front lawn. Following on his heels is Jackson with a dead squirrel in his mouth. I start screaming and run into the street as he tries to jump on me and give me the squirrel. Sorry, I was in no mood to take a picture of this.
I finally get the dogs in the house and Annika and I take off for Romp N' Stomp on base. We get there and it is canceled due to a gas leak in the school on base and they need the facilities to house the school kids who don't have parents to pick them up. Annika's upset and crying because we can't stay and there are kids there (she doesn't care that they are older), and I'm ready to call it a day.
We get home and Annika is still upset. She wants to open the door with my key (anything to get her to stop crying), but my helping her get the key in only makes her more upset. She takes the key in the house, of course I think nothing of it, and when Joe gets home from work and we all get dressed and ready to buy our Christmas tree, surprise, no keys. As of now, 10:12 pm, I have yet to see my keys again. We used the spare to go get our tree. We have yet to decorate our tree because we have spent the evening looking for keys. Joe and I have looked everywhere, including outside, but we can't find them. I think this was her revenge on me, although I'm still not sure what I did to her. It must of been something I did because she adores Joe too much to take revenge like this out on him. She and daddy are wrapped around each other's little fingers. I guess we will trim the tree tomorrow...and hopefully find my keys.
Daddy's little girl.
