So Wrong

Yesterday I had to go for a follow-up ultrasound for the baby. When I did my 20 week anatomy scan he wouldn't cooperate and let them get a picture of one of the quadrants of his heart, so they made me go back. I wasn't worried because they were able to see everything else during the first scan and he looked fine, so what were the chances of anything being wrong with the one little part they couldn't see?

The ultrasound technician calls me back and spends about 5 minutes taking pictures of the baby's heart and blood flow, than says she needs to show them to the Dr. and the Dr. will be in to see me personally. Considering she hasn't said more than 2 sentences to me the entire time I'm wondering a little what's going on. I wait for at least 25 minutes before the Dr. comes in, but it's two Dr.s coming in together; one man, one woman. For a brief moment I'm freaking out that something is wrong with the baby, and then the female Dr. finally smiles and says everything looks great, and that the other Dr. is a resident making rounds with her. She also says the baby weighs approximately 2lbs. 2oz., which is in the normal range.

All in all, I think I prefer a little less suspense when it comes to my doctors appointments.

Here is a photo of our little boy. The photos posted in two previous posts look much better, but this one makes me think he's almost smiling.

Who do you think he looks more like?
