Foolish or Wise?

Today we read the story of the 10 Virgins waiting for the Bridegroom. We read the scriptures and talked about being ready. We discussed situations where we need to be ready or else we can't go. Today Annika learned that she will be ready when Christ comes again. I hope this is something she will always remember.

I didn't have a real oil lamp, so we put oil in our incense burner and lit a candle so Jesus would know we are ready.

Sarah came over in the afternoon to make Easter eggs with Annika. Annika loved coloring the eggs with Sarah. It was an interesting dye where you drop it on the egg with a dropper and then rolled it in gloved hands to spread around. We will eat a few tomorrow as part of our Passover meal. I guess you can say we are being prepared.

Annika surprised seeing two colors combine and change into anther. That was exciting for her.
